1. Keep your hands clean. Before meals, after defecation, before preparing food, and after going out and returning home, one should follow the six step washing method and wash hands with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds to effectively prevent various infectious diseases, including Norovirus acute gastroenteritis.

2. Pay attention to drinking water hygiene and food safety. Drink boiled water or qualified bottled water, and avoid drinking untreated raw water. Wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly when consuming them; When cooking and processing food, it is necessary to separate raw and cooked foods, and use different cutting boards, knives, and containers to avoid cross contamination; Ensure that food is cooked thoroughly, especially shellfish and other seafood. When dining out, choose a restaurant with good hygiene conditions and high reputation.

3. Norovirus infected individuals should undergo home isolation and rest to reduce the risk of transmission. It is recommended that non hospitalized patients be isolated at home for at least 72 hours after the symptoms disappear. During this period, patients should maintain personal hygiene, reduce close contact with others, eat and rest alone, and especially avoid cooking or taking care of the elderly and children. Employees in special positions, such as chefs and caregivers, should only return to work after completing fecal detoxification.

4. Clean and disinfect properly. Carry out daily cleaning and ventilation of the living room, and regularly disinfect key areas such as surfaces with high-frequency contact and bathrooms; Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and utensils, promptly dispose of garbage, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene. When family members experience symptoms of gastroenteritis, their excrement and vomit should be properly treated, and contaminated items and surfaces should be thoroughly disinfected with chlorine containing disinfectants. At the same time, regularly disinfect high-frequency contact points in the home such as door handles and bathrooms.

5. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Ensure a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and moderate exercise to enhance the body's resistance and prevent infections.

The above measures can effectively prevent and control the infection and transmission of norovirus and other infectious diseases, protecting the health of individuals, families, and the public.
